Meet Keith

Keith Pellegrini is a Partner at McChrystal Group. In previous engagements, he has helped a US state establish a Public Health Fusion Cell to battle the Pandemic, enabled a multi-national energy corporation to become a Team of Teams, and advised a city in West Texas, uniting sixteen distinct constituencies across a common vision for the good of the community.

What did you do before joining McChrystal Group?

I retired from the Army after 28 years as a Special Forces officer, over half of which I spent in our nation’s premier Special Operations units. I culminated my career as Senior Special Operations Command Advisor to the Central Intelligence Agency, where I led collaboration between SOCOM’s 70,000-person enterprise and the CIA’s Mission Centers. Previous assignments include Deputy Commander of a Special Mission Unit, Deputy Commander of a Joint Interagency Task Force and Battalion Commander in the 82nd Airborne Division. I was also an Assault Force Commander on the first ground combat operation into Afghanistan after 9/11, deployed five other times to combat and six times on contingency operations.

Why did you join McChrystal Group?

McChrystal Group allows me to work at a place that embodies many of the characteristics that made Special Forces so rewarding: a small, elite organization comprised of exceptionally talented and motivated people who embed within partnered organizations, working tirelessly to make those partners better.

What has been your proudest moment at McChrystal Group?

My proudest moment at McChrystal Group was partnering with public and private sector leaders in West Texas to design, build, implement, and support an organization to connect disparate public and private entities around the common goal of creating a world-class community.

What sport or hobby do you have outside of work?

I am the proud father of twins, an Ironman triathlete, and after returning to running ultra-marathons, completed my first 100-mile race.
