What did you do before joining McChrystal Group?
I retired from the United States Marine Corps after service as an Infantry Officer, Operational & Strategic Planner, and International Military Advisor. I deployed to diverse and complex environments including Asian-Pacific jungles, Iraqi deserts, and ship-based operations off the coast of Libya. Previously, I was the Senior Manager of Leadership Development at a high-growth, nationally recognized media and insurance firm. I also led my own private consulting and coaching practice, focused on capacity building and leadership development for small businesses and non-profits.
Why did you join McChrystal Group?
McChrystal Group provides a “high collision” environment that brings together leaders with diverse backgrounds, industry specialization, and experiences. I appreciate that I get to work with a team that challenges and supports each other every day.
What has been your proudest moment at McChrystal Group?
Without a doubt, the numerous times that clients have acknowledged the change we have supported, organizationally and individually, have offered me my proudest moments. Seeing the growth they have accomplished is worth the hard work.
What is a hidden talent of yours?
I have the innate ability to make friends wherever I go - regardless of any barriers. My colleagues usually get a good laugh when I strike up conversations with complete strangers.
