What did you do before joining McChrystal Group?
Prior to joining McChrystal Group, I worked at the Corporate Executive Board as a Senior Learning Designer, responsible for developing classroom and e-learning programs on best practices of leadership. I also held positions as a Learning and Organizational Development Consultant and a Project Manager at a global engineering firm, charged with leading an accelerated development program targeting high-potential leaders.
Why did you join McChrystal Group?
At McChrystal Group I am surrounded by decorated military officers, seasoned business leaders, motivated analysts and Ph.D. scholars who are driven by a common purpose and genuinely excited to tackle difficult challenges together. We care for each other and encourage each other to grow and be better because the work we are doing truly matters.
What has been your proudest moment at McChrystal Group?
My proudest moment took place after the first workshop I delivered to a group of senior leaders from a global hedge fund. By the end of the session, they had formed authentic connections with each other and were genuinely excited to return to work to put their new skills and knowledge into action. It was a clear indicator that our offerings truly make a difference in people’s lives.
Why are you passionate about leaders & teams?
Teams are the answer to our world’s most dynamic, complex problem. We win when we harness the power of the group!

Our Field Manual to Developing Leaders in Uncertain Times
Stan McChrystal and our McChrystal Academy team has developed a playbook that lays out a framework to help Human Resource and Development teams move forward with training despite the challenges we’re all facing. The playbook is intended to provide suggestions and best practices to deliver and enhance leader development training, whether it is in-person or virtual. We hope this document helps you identify high impact areas for your team’s training as we navigate this period of change and transition.
Risk Playbook: Rethinking Risk
It’s imperative that organizations rethink their approach to risk in order to outpace their competition when the next challenge or crisis strikes. When it comes to risk, we must detect the threats in our environment, assess our vulnerabilities, respond to the risk at hand, and learn from the process.
Field Manual: Leading Hybrid Teams
Hybrid teams are essential for operating in today’s environment but, by their very nature, are infused with tension—as teams struggle to collaborate within the dispersed work environments. This field manual will provide you with frameworks, techniques, tools, and suggestions to help you determine what right looks like in your specific context.
