Meet Erin
As a senior advisor with McChrystal Group, Erin has helped unlock the potential of senior leaders from FEMA, Norfolk Southern, and McChrystal Group’s Chief of Staff Academy. She is a Massachusetts Institute of Technology Seminar XXI Fellow, Syracuse National Strategic Studies Fellow, and Army War College Graduate. She received her Juris Doctorate from Lewis & Clark Northwestern School of Law in Portland, Oregon, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Arizona.
Erin retired as an Army Brigadier General and most recently served as the Senior U.S. Army Intelligence Oversight Official and Principal Deputy General Counsel to the U.S. National Guard Bureau. Erin was a trailblazer in this role, not only as the first woman to hold the position, but she spearheaded several groundbreaking programs for the Department of Defense to combat sexual assault. Her efforts were vital to increasing reporting options, ensuring a more timely and effective response, and providing recovery resources for victims of sexual assault in the military.
Erin possesses a deep understanding of the challenges facing our Nation’s top leaders at both the federal and state level, providing counsel, oversight, and mentorship for senior U.S. officials and military leaders. A key advisor to our Nation’s governors and congressional leaders, Erin developed a far-reaching network of elected officials to support transformational organizational changes across the 440,000-person National Guard.
A leader in crisis, Erin was vital to the National Guard’s response to the Capital Insurrection and COVID-19 pandemic as direct counsel to the Chief of the National Guard Bureau.
