What did you do before joining McChrystal Group?

In the decade prior to joining McChrystal Group, I co-founded and led two companies focused on bringing new analytic solutions to challenges in the talent management space. Most recently, I was CEO of HelioScout, which provided enhanced data and insights in order to improve clients’ talent acquisition capabilities. Before that, I was CEO of Sunstone Analytics, which leveraged machine-learning-based approaches to enhance users’ ability to assess talent along multiple dimensions. Prior to my work in the human capital space, I worked in private equity at Serent Capital, and before that, in management consulting at McKinsey and Company.

Why did you join McChrystal Group?

McChrystal Group presented the truly unique opportunity to not only impact critical decisions at top tier firms with innovative products, but also to join this tightly-knit culture of highly driven operators.

What has been your proudest moment at McChrystal Group?

The “living” of core MG principles demonstrated daily within the firm has made me immensely proud to be a part of McChrystal Group.

What sport or hobby do you have outside of work?

I am an avid listener of podcasts, especially history, philosophy, and football, though my hours of NFL-related listening correlate highly with how well the Eagles are doing that season.

What are your favorite books (besides Team of Teams!)?
  • The Committed by Viet Than Nguyen
  • At Home by Bill Bryson
  • Superintelligence by Nick Bostrom
  • The Orphan Master's Son by Adam Johnson
