Meet Geoff

Geoff Tokajer is a Principal on the Implementation Team, where he serves on a fantastic team of highly effective, high-performance leaders who get results—every time.

What did you do before joining McChrystal Group?

I served in uniform as a U.S. Marine for ten years. Following my service, I finished my MBA and went to work for Berkshire Hathaway's GEICO. In 2005, I resumed public service working for the U.S. Navy SEALs from 2005 - 2018 and completed my public service leading programs at the Pentagon in 2022. I then joined the management team at Twitter up until January 2023, when I was welcomed on board the team at McChrystal Group.

Why did you join McChrystal Group?

It is the thrill and privilege of a lifetime to be reunited with leaders I served under and alongside during my time working for JSOC all these years later. I now have the opportunity to apply decades of experience and lessons learned from living through real-world “Team of Teams” events to help McChrystal Group and McChrystal Group clients realize the power and harness the potential of optimized teams.

What sport or hobby do you have outside of work?

Fitness, cooking, and most importantly, family time.

Why are you passionate about leaders & teams?

I found myself in charge of a Marine Corps Fire Team at the age of 18. I would then serve on and lead teams for the next 30 years in the military, business, and national public service. Every personal and professional success I have enjoyed, and the most meaningful relationships I have today, are because of teams.
