Meet Joe

Joe DiFilippo is a Partner at McChrystal Group, where he partners with clients to solve complex business problems that sit at the intersection of strategy alignment, cultural transformations, executive team effectiveness, and talent optimization. Joe’s experience includes executive team effectiveness, leadership & executive development, cultural transformations, rapid strategic alignment, talent assessments, and salesforce transformations.

What did you do before joining McChrystal Group?

For the past 16 years, I've worked at leading strategy alignment and human capital consulting firms, helping clients and leaders reach their full potential. As a Partner at both Korn Ferry and BTS, I worked across a portfolio of global and regional clients, helping senior and executive leaders and teams think and play big as they turn strategy into results. I've been fortunate to have partnered with some of the world's most admired companies from the technology, semiconductor, financial services, and manufacturing industries. Before becoming a consultant, I was an Army Officer for 8 years, with tours in Kuwait, Iraq, and Korea.

Why did you join McChrystal Group?

I was impressed with McChrystal Group's passion for unleashing the power of leaders and teams in a way that is highly aligned with my values and incredibly engaging for our clients.

What sport or hobby do you have outside of work?

I love spending time with my family and watching my two sons learn and grow. I am currently learning to golf, which is perhaps the most frustrating thing I've ever done. In my spare time, I enjoy powerlifting, cooking, and snowboarding.

Why are you passionate about leaders & teams?

I firmly believe that senior leaders and teams create the conditions that allow people to do the best work of their lives, which not only accelerates huge business success but also allows people to reach their full potential. Helping organizations transform through leaders and teams has been hugely rewarding.
