Meet Nicole

Nicole Murphy is the HR Director at McChrystal Group where she manages the daily functions of the human resources department and supports the CHRO with the design and implementation of HR/talent management strategies aligned with our organization’s mission, values, and culture.

What did you do before joining McChrystal Group?

Prior to joining McChrystal Group, I was the Employee Experience Manager at the largest privately held homebuilder in the Pacific Northwest. Before that, I spent 10 years working in various HR roles at different government agencies. In each of these positions, I worked closely with executive leadership teams to develop and execute strategic HR initiatives to enhance the end-to-end employee experience.

Why did you join McChrystal Group?

I joined McChrystal Group for the opportunity to work with a group of diverse and talented professionals who are passionate about the work they do. Getting to support our team and the organization by developing and enhancing our human capital programs that will allow us to scale is very exciting.

What sport or hobby do you have outside of work?

I live in the Pacific Northwest, so most of my hobbies revolve around spending time outdoors. I enjoy camping and spending days at the lake, either paddle boarding or kayaking.

Why are you passionate about leaders & teams?

Everyone has different strengths, and when teams come together and are able to leverage each other, they can accomplish great things. As an HR Director, it is very rewarding when I can help team members discover and develop those strengths and see the growth of an organization when strong leaders and teams come together.
