Meet Kirsten

Kirsten Norman is a Contracts Manager at McChrystal Group where she works on negotiation and compliance/legal review of contracts, NDA's, consulting agreements, purchase orders, and any other legally binding documents. She also assists the Finance Team and provides support on proposals.

What did you do before joining McChrystal Group?

I have worked in contracts administration for close to ten years now, prior to McChrystal Group I primarily worked on federal contracts with large agency customers such as the DoD (Army, Navy, Air Force, etc.), DoS, DHS, FEMA, USPTO, etc.

Why did you join McChrystal Group?

I was looking for a positive change. I wanted to be with a company that uplifts its employees and whose employees are truly proud to be part of the team. I knew from the very first phone call that McChrystal Group was a company that "practiced what it preached" - the people at McChrystal Group don't just teach the values, they live them.

What sport or hobby do you have outside of work?

I enjoy arts and crafts such as painting, drawing, and resin crafting. I also have a large collection of house plants I enjoy caring for. In the spring and fall, I am part of a kickball league with some friends where we play Saturdays on the National Mall. And of course, I love live music events - I will go to just about any kind of show.

What are your favorite books (besides Team of Teams!)?

I love thrillers and horror, Stephen King, James Patterson, etc. I also really like Gregory Maguire's Oz series based on the L. Frank Baum classic books (The musical Wicked is based on Maguire's book - a great read!). Also a very big fan of Neil Gaiman, particularly Good Omens.
